Aula is our own Learning Experience Platform (LXP) introduced across the University in September 2020. Aula’s central purpose is to focus on the student learning experience. Aula is “mobile first”, and is therefore flexible across many platforms. Active & social student learning is the underpinning ethos of Aula.
Aula was purchased by CU during late 2021.
updated guidance on uploading resits, extensions and Turnitin assessment to Universe.
- If you have problems uploading consecutive grades to Universe i.e. extensions and re-sits, then use the “do not export” function to disregard existing uploads. All of this is covered in the Knowledge base page on mapping and uploading grades from Aula to Universe.
- A clear walkthrough video of uploading resits the by Philip McCosker can be found here
- Aula have a detailed page covering mapping of grades to assessment items, etc…
- NOTE: single campus assignments can simply resort to using the original Turnitin assignment as a mapped assessment. This is fully covered here in the knowledge base.
- A PDF extended guide, and a one page interactive guide are at the bottom of this page.
Assignment notes FYI
- Group assignments can only be set up using the native Aula Handing Tool. This means they are not processed using Turnitin. Full guide on the Knowledge Base.
- Using a pass/fail or non numeric grade format can be uploaded to Universe using a P or F in the mapped manual assignment, or by using the Handin tool.
